Mobile Digital Mammography Unit

Our new digital mammography trailer houses the Selenia Full Field Digital Mammography System together with an acquisition workstation,a SecurViewDX diagnostic workstation and transportable hard drive for image download onto PACS. The interior design is comfortable and welcoming and of a high specification.

It includes a spacious seating area in reception with audio and visual equipment and a small kitchen area adjoining reception.

Two changing rooms are available next to the scan room for patient convenience. The unit is equipped with air conditioning and heating systems and houses a back up generator on board. In the event of mains power failure, the generator will take over in keeping the equipment and screening room at the exact temperature parameters and once power is restored, screening can recommence immediately. There are also tanks installed in an exterior locker for fresh and waste water.

The unit will be provided with a full Operators Manual and Safety Check List. Applications training will also be included.

Mobile Unit Siting Requirements:

Mobile units require, as a minimum, the following:

• An area of level hard standing (e.g.: Mammo 13m x 2.5m. CT 15m x 6.5m)
• Appropriate 3 phase or single phase electrical supply or generator

A supply of fresh water and a telephone point are desirable. However, CIMS will carry out a full site inspection to identify a suitable place to situate the type of unit which is required, and ensure appropriate access to the site.
