Lorry loader/Crane Engineer

Locations: Home-based
Hours: Permanent full-time position

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lorry Loader/Crane Engineer to join Canute Engineering. This position will be home based but will require travel.

As a Lorry Loader/Crane Engineer your duties will include maintaining a wide range of lorry loader cranes and tail lifts. Your duties will be to carry out servicing, repairs and LOLER examinations to ensure minimum downtime for our customers and to ensure compliance with regulations. Training will be provided.

The successful candidate should:

  • Have a mechanical engineering background (essential)
  • Be able to weld (essential)
  • Have experience of hydraulics and electrics (desirable)
  • Be prepared to work flexibly for some call-outs (a fee and overtime are paid)
  • Be prepared to work outdoors. (protective clothing is provided and vans are fully equipped)

This position would suit an energetic self-starter who enjoys working independently.

In return you will receive a competitive salary based on a 45 hour working week (Monday to Friday) and all other hours will be paid at our overtime rate.

Canute Engineering: HGV and Trailer Technicians and Recovery Drivers

Locations: Purfleet, Coventry, Magor and Manton
Hours: approximately 40 hours per work consisting of morning, afternoon and evening shifts

Job description

Technicians will be primarily responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on our mixed fleet of HGV’s and trailers as well as outside sales fleet.

HGV Recovery drivers will be primarily responsible for the safe recovery of our own fleet and customer’s fleet.

In return you will receive a competitive salary.

There may be occasions when the candidate will be required to work overtime and weekends which is payable at time and half.

Required Skills and Experience for Technicians

  • A Skilled Technician
  • Preferably hold a Class 1 licence.
  • Must be flexible to help meet customer requirements.

  • Recovery experience is essential

Canute Logistics: Warehouse Administrator

Location: Coventry
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00-18.00 with 1 hour for lunch

Job description

Canute Logistics are looking for an Administrator to work within the existing team looking after the warehouse customer orders at our Midlands Distribution Centre in Coventry.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Manage all pick note creations and the production of delivery paperwork.
  • Control all system inputting of stock transfers internally and externally from sub contract suppliers into the warehouse.
  • Liaising with internal departments and third party contractors
  • Generation of customer reports as required both manually and through the Warehouse Management System
  • Raising of customer invoices for warehouse and administrative activities within agreed timescales
  • Resolution of any customer invoice queries
  • General administrative duties as required to support the operations

The successful candidate should:

  • Have administration experience preferably in a warehouse ordering and invoicing environment.
  • Preferably have experience of warehouse systems but this is not essential as training will be given.
  • Be accustomed to dealing with fast paced environments in a calm methodical manner with a attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Have well developed organization skills and ability to plan and prioritize as required.
  • be calm under pressure, reliable and adaptable
  • Have an attitude and general predisposition towards high levels of customer service along with the drive and commitment to deliver excellent customer service levels.
  • Be competent in use of MS Office Software ( Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Red Prairie and Road Runner experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Own transport is essential due to location of site.
