As a Warehouse Operative/Flexi Driver your duties and responsibilities will be:

Responsibilities to include:

  • Unloading/Loading of trailers and rigid vehicles.
  • Breaking down of pallets into pre-determined stock areas
  • Picking furniture orders for delivery to customers.
  • Ensuring correct labels are attached to products when picking.
  • Putaway stock in to racking area
  • Working with drivers to get outbound vehicles loaded
  • Keeping warehouse clean and tidy

The successful candidate should :

  • Ideally have several years’ operational warehouse experience within a busy Warehouse operation (white goods)
  • Hold a Flexi License (essential)
  • Be accustomed to dealing with fast paced environments in a calm methodical manner with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have well developed communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels (warehouse, office staff & customers)
  • Must have valid counterbalance license.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems preferably Locatit (training given)
  • Must be computer literate previous use of RDT guns (advantage)
  • Be calm under pressure, reliable and adaptable with a flexible attitude towards hours and shift patterns
  • Have an attitude and general predisposition towards high levels of customer service along with the drive and commitment to deliver a world class service

Transport Planner/Administrator - Chorley

We are looking for a Transport Planner/Administrator

Our team are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner/Administrator at our customer’s site in Chorley. You will work alongside a very friendly team and will be working on our International Timber/Pasquill contract.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Plan, Input, resource and allocate costs accordingly to all jobs within GTS within the required timescales
  • Ensure all pre-invoices are agreed and authorised by the customer so that invoices can be issued in the correct timescales
  • Raise all invoices from suppliers in buy-connect with accurate charges and in the relevant timescales
  • Complete the weekly driver payroll in the required timescales
  • Raise all subcontractor requests for any fleet work undertaken with the relevant costing and agree authorisation when required
  • Plan with the Transport Manager the inspections, repairs and MOTs in the required timescales
  • Cover as and when required the Transport Manager to ensure all tasks are covered and undertaken appropriately
  • Work with the customer on a daily basis to ensure changes to activities are implemented and agreed upon.

Skills and Experiences

  • Able to work on their own or as part of a team
  • Experience of working in a busy traffic office in a calm and effective manner
  • Good understanding of driver regulations and compliance regulations would be advantageous
  • CPC qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience within a fast paced pressurised 3PL / multi-customer environment adhering to strict delivery performance criteria would be advantageous.

Working hours will need to have a flexible approach however; this role is for 40 hours per week.

  • Checking of customer orders and entry onto the Red Prairie system
  • Production of system paperwork as required.
  • The generation of customer reports as required both manually and through the Warehouse Management System
  • The raising of customer invoices for warehouse and administrative activities within agreed timescales
  • Resolution of any customer invoice queries
  • General administrative duties as required to support the operations.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Have administration experience preferably in a warehouse ordering and invoicing environment
  • Preferably have experience of warehouse systems but this is not essential as training can be given
  • Be accustomed to dealing with fast paced environments in a calm methodical manner with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be comfortable communicating at all levels (warehouse, office staff & customers)
  • Have well developed organization skills and the ability to deal with a variety of different tasks simultaneously

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lorry Loader Crane Engineer/Taillift Engineer to join Canute Engineering. This position will be home based within the Bristol/Gloucester area.

As a Lorry Loader Crane Engineer/Taillift Engineer your duties will include maintaining a wide range of lorry loader cranes and tail lifts. Canute Engineering: HGV and Trailer Technicians and Recovery Drivers

Locations: Purfleet, Coventry, Magor and Manton
Hours: approximately 40 hours per work consisting of morning, afternoon and evening shifts

Job description

Technicians will be primarily responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on our mixed fleet of HGV’s and trailers as well as outside sales fleet.

HGV Recovery drivers will be primarily responsible for the safe recovery of our own fleet and customer’s fleet.

In return you will receive a competitive salary.

There may be occasions when the candidate will be required to work overtime and weekends which is payable at time and half.

Required Skills and Experience for Technicians

  • A Skilled Technician
  • Preferably hold a Class 1 licence.
  • Must be flexible to help meet customer requirements.

Required Skills and Experience for Recovery Drivers

  • Recovery experience is essential
  • Must have a Class 1 licence held for a minimum of one year and a digi tacho card.
