Canute Logistics recently won a new contract with Tarmac to be their prime haulier to cover all loads not taken by their existing dedicated fleet. This contract win sees a return to Canute Logistics working with Tarmac.

The Canute Group have a proud history in building materials with the company’s first operations being dedicated to the distribution of blocks from Linford, Essex.

Rekindling our relationship of 33 years with Tarmac

We continued to distribute from that site until six years ago when Tarmac moved to a general haulier scheme rather than a prime service provider. This tender win rekindles the relationship of 33 years that we have with the Tarmac Group.

Canute Logistics are able to utilise their expert knowledge of the building materials division and their relationship with Tarmac to perform at the highest level for them. We are delivering from the Linford and Alfreton sites as their prime haulier.

These locations were seen by Canute Logistics as the optimum fit for our fleet within Tarmac’s existing operations.

The two sites were implemented into our Building Materials Division capability over a five-week period. Our fleet and services were introduced to Linford in mid-March with Ninefield going live on the 4th April.
